Latest Forecast From Storm Team 4
The first day of winter brought with it New York City's first accumulating snowfall of the season.
People across the tri-state woke up to measurable snow on the ground, some finding as much as 4 or 5 inches in parts of New York and New Jersey.
The snowfall let up by mid-morning as the system moved east and out of the tri-state. Storm Team 4 says the Saturday snow marks the first December in three years since our last measurable snowfall.
The snow might be over -- but not altogether gone thanks to some frigid temperatures -- but conditions stay downright chilly. Sunday morning was expected to bring about temps in the teens and wind chills in the single digits.

New York City officials warned drivers to be careful on the roads Saturday and to slow down behind the wheel because of the possibility of slick streets.
.@NWSNewYorkNY has issued a Special Weather Statement for NYC: Light snow will continue this morning, tapering off and ending mid to late morning. Around 1 inch of accumulation is possible. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution traveling.
