A powerful nor'easter blasted the tri-state area, delivering more than two feet of snow in some spots, including 30 inches in one town during its unrelenting siege that lasted about 36 hours.
A total of 17.4 inches fell in Central Park, the National Weather Service said, enough to tie for the 15th biggest snowstorm in New York City history.
The storm dumped more than 17 inches of snow in Central Park, making it among the top 20 most powerful snowstorms the park has seen in its history. See more totals from across the tri-state area in the map and graphics below.
