The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday morning through
Saturday afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 043, 044, 047, 048, and 072.
This includes Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Southern Wayne, and
Pike county.
* WIND...Northwest 8-12 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph, especially
over the higher terrain of the Poconos.
* HUMIDITY...As low as 25 to 30 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
