The U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees says it is halting aid deliveries through the main cargo crossing into Gaza because of the threat of armed gangs who have looted recent convoys.

Dozens of protesters came out to Central Park to call for the remaining hostages being held by Hamas to be released. The demonstration comes a day after Hamas released a video of Edan Alexander, an Israeli-American solider from New Jersey. News 4’s Jessica Cunnington reports.

The attacks Sunday come days after a US-brokered ceasefire agreement that ended the war between Israel and Hezbollah went into effect. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered a televised address where he discussed a plan for a ceasefire with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry said 66 people were wounded in the strikes, which were the fourth in central Beirut in less than a week.

Five new arrests were made after what authorities say was antisemitic violence surrounding an Israeli soccer team. Israeli fans also attacked a taxi and burned a Palestinian flag.
