Chuck Scarborough's 50th anniversary celebration continues Tuesday with appearances on the 'TODAY' show in Rockefeller Plaza and on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.'
Chuck was up early to join the hosts of TODAY on the Plaza, next door to the home of WNBC at 30 Rock. You may not have known that Chuck did some work filling in as a newsreader on TODAY and even once filled in for Bryant Gumbel.
"I got to tell you the generosity in this man. The gentlemanliness and the generosity. When I first started in 1984, he could not have been nicer," said TODAY weathercaster Al Roker.
"We had a lot of fun," Chuck responded.

On Monday, the Empire State Building was illuminated with NBC peacock blue and golden for his golden anniversary.
Chuck's anniversary celebrations will conclude Thursday night at 7 p.m. with a half-hour special program, which will include an interview with Chuck conducted by David Ushery, and a conversation Chuck recently held with his longtime co-anchor Sue Simmons.
