Teen gang targeting Times Square tourists after pulling off Central Park crimes: NYPD

Police said teens — and even some children as young as 11 years old — are being recruited by suspected migrant gang members at a city-funded Manhattan shelter to commit crimes in Times Square with near impunity, all for a gang that originated in a Venezuelan prison. The young recruits are allegedly pulling off armed robberies and coordinating their crimes with government-issued cellphones. NBC New York’s Marc Santia reports.
