No. 12 McNeese State earned the NCAA Tournament’s first upset as they knocked off No. 5 Clemson, 69-67.

It’s time to play for Sweet 16 berths.

What began as a 68-team men’s NCAA Tournament is down to 32 squads after the first round of 2025 March Madness came to a close on Friday.

The opening round saw five double-digit seeds advance in No. 10 ArkansasNo. 10 New Mexico, No. 11 Drake, No. 12 Colorado State and No. 12 McNeese, the last of which secured its first-ever NCAA Tournament win.

While a pair of No. 5 seeds -- Clemson and Memphis -- fell in Round 1, top-four seeds went a combined 16-0. That includes No. 1 overall seed Auburn, along with fellow top seeds Duke, Florida and Houston.

And the two-time reigning national champions are carrying their title defense into Round 2. The No. 8 UConn Huskies now sit five victories away from a historic three-peat.

Where to watch, stream men's March Madness games live

Men's March Madness games will air across CBS, TNT, TBS and truTV. CBS broadcasts can be streamed on Paramount+, while TNT, TBS and truTV broadcasts are available to stream on Max.

When is the men's Sweet 16?

Following the conclusion of the Round 2, there will be a few days without any games before the Sweet 16, which runs from Thursday, March 27 to Friday, March 28.
