Prosecutor and defense spar over cause of death in Daniel Penny trial
Daniel Penny, a Marine veteran, is facing more than a decade behind bars. The defense, which rested its case on Friday, has said he held Jordan Neely down for nearly six minutes to protect others on the F train. The state has an alternative view, saying what he did is criminal negligent homicide and manslaughter. NBC New York’s Erica Byfield reports.
