Police search for duo scamming New Yorkers with good Samaritan scam

The NYPD is searching for a man and a women involved in a smile-and-scam operation targeting New Yorkers in the Diamond District and Queens. The leader of the operation is believed to have been arrested eight times in seven months. NBC New York’s Mark Santia reports.
