New Shirley Chisholm exhibit explores her groundbreaking life
Known for being “unbought and unbossed,” the famous slogan from her 1972 run for the White House in which she became the first Black person to run for the presidential nomination of a political party, Shirley Chisholm is the subject of a new exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York, during what what would be her 101st birthday.
