Trump Speaks Day Before Inauguration: ‘I'm Just the Messenger'
Donald Trump made his first public remarks of his inaugural ceremonies in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 19, a day before being sworn in as president. “This journey began 18 months ago,” Trump said in a short speech that sounded more like a campaign speech a one from a president-elect. “I had something to do with it, but you had much more to do with it than I had. I’m the messenger. I’m just the messenger.”
