On Twitter, Trump Critics Celebrate Court Setback for Travel Ban

President Donald Trump vowed to contest Thursday’s decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reinstate his travel ban, after the panel of three judges declined to block the ruling that suspended the ban. “We have a situation where the security of our country is at stake,” Trump said.

A federal appeals court in San Francisco on Thursday refused to reinstate President Donald Trump's ban on travelers from seven predominantly Muslim nations.

While the case could still wind up before the U.S. Supreme Court, the ruling was a setback for the president's controversial ban.

On Twitter, Trump's critics reacted with joy, with some calling for the president to scrap the whole idea.
