Fellas, we're gonna have to seriously step up our game when it comes to grand romantic gestures. You can thank Alexis Ohanian for that.
Ohanian, husband to tennis great Serena Williams and father of the couple's newborn daughter Alexis, was perhaps inspired by the film "Three Billboards" when he came up with a novel idea to tell both his wife and the world what he thought about her new role as mom.
Williams shared she suffered life-threatening complications following the birth of their daughter, telling Vogue she developed several small blood clots in her lungs while in the hospital after the baby was born in September.
According to the article, the tennis superstar "spent the first six weeks of motherhood unable to get out of bed."
Ohanian also posted the photos on Instagram, promting a response from his wife. "Literally am crying," Williams wrote in the comments section. "This is so sweet. I love you."
