The Grammys just got a bit more soul.
British songstress Adele will make her return to the stage at this year’s Grammys on Feb. 12, following throat surgery for hemorrhaged vocal cords in November that forced her to cancel her North American tour.
Nominated in six categories, including record of the year, the 23-year-old was apparently ecstatic, tweeting, "Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait.”
Adele’s debut album “21” tied a Billboard record last week, with its 17th non-consecutive week on top of the charts, tying a nearly 20-year-old record held by Billy Ray Cyrus for “Some Gave All.”
With her throat issues now taken care of, maybe she’ll finally crack a smile on stage.
