Mayor Eric Adams asks judge to throw out corruption case permanently

Under his deal with the Justice Department, if the case against him were to be dropped, Mayor Eric Adams agreed that it could be re-filed, perhaps after the November election. But amid resignation letters by some prosecutors protesting the deal, and after a media storm ensued, the mayor’s lawyers now argue the case is so tainted that the corruption charges should be dismissed for good.
