Luigi Mangione indicted on murder as act of terrorism in UnitedHealthcare CEO killing
“Frightening, well-planned, targeted murder.” That’s how Manhattan DA described the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson as he announced the indictment of Luigi Mangione. Prosecutors charged Mangione with first- and second-degree murder with a terrorism enhancement. Investigators said it was an assassination with the intent of causing public threats and intimidation.
