A 23-year-old woman who had been lying in the middle of a Brooklyn street was run over by a car and killed early Thursday, authorities say.
It's not clear why the woman was prone in the road near Rockaway Parkway and Schenck Street. Police responding to a 911 call around 4 a.m. found her dead at the scene, where she had apparently been hit by a Honda Pilot.
The Honda driver, a 20-year-old man, remained at the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
