Woman Killed in Brooklyn Hit-and-Run on Christmas Day

Witnesses said the driver of the gray vehicle kept moving eastbound on Eastern Parkway after the incident, police said.

Police are investigating the death of a 38-year-old woman who was hit and killed by a car while crossing a Brooklyn street on Christmas morning.

Police responded to a 911 call at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday reporting a pedestrian struck by a silver vehicle at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Troy Avenue in Crown Heights.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Witnesses said the driver of the silver vehicle kept moving eastbound on Eastern Parkway after the incident, police said.

The identification of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.

The investigation is ongoing.
