A robber wearing a wolf mask pulled a knife on a woman and her child inside a Rockland County hair salon, and the mother says she's been so terrorized by the incident that she still has nightmares about the "wolf man."
Emilia Moncayo and her 4-year-old daughter were inside the Kelly's Unisex Salon in Spring Valley last Tuesday when a man walked in wearing a wolf mask and gloves. Moncayo at first thought it was a prank but quickly realized the man was serious when he pulled out a knife and demanded money.
Surveillance video shows the suspect pulling out a large kitchen knife from the pocket of his hooded sweatshirt as he hands Moncayo a backpack. Moncayo said she put $200 from her cash register inside the bag, and he left the store.
Since the robbery, coming to work hasn't been easy for Moncayo.
"I'm scared that maybe he'll come back," she said, adding that she wakes up in the middle of the night because of "nightmares with the wolf man."
