The outbound roadway was temporarily closed, with traffic being diverted to the Hoboken exit, but had reopened as of around 8:30 a.m.
Buses traveling to and from Port Authority faced delays of up to 60 minutes, NJ Transit said around 8 a.m.
John F. Kennedy Boulevard below the helix was closed in both directions between Baldwin Avenue and Willow Avenue because debris from the truck fell below.
