Three people were shot in midtown Manhattan Tuesday night, police said, and two people were in police custody afterward.
Police said to avoid an area of West 38th Street near Bryant Park "due to a police investigation." No other details about what transpired were immediately available, but a senior police official said that gunfires appeared to have stemmed from a dispute at a music venue.
Police say all three victims, a 19-year-old, 27-year-old and a 24-year-old, were targeted.
One of the victims, the 24-year-old, was in critical condition, while the other two were in stable condition after going under surgery at Bellevue Hospital.
Two firearms were recovered at the scene. Two people were arrested, police said, although their involvement in the shooting was not clear as well.
