Suspects Sought in NYC Laundromat Robbery Spree: NYPD

Police are looking for three robbers who may have hit as many as eight laundromats in Brooklyn and Queens over the last several weeks, according to the NYPD.

The laundromats and two chicken restaurants were all robbed in the early-morning hours between Jan. 19 and Tuesday, the NYPD says.

In each robbery, the trio stormed into buildings wearing masks and gloves, police say. One suspect always had a gun. Once inside, the robbers took cash from the registers and any customers who were there at the time.

No one was injured in the robberies. Nine of the 10 holdups were in various Brooklyn neighborhoods; the lone Queens robbery was in the Saint Albans area.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-888-577-TIPS or www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
