Suspect Pushes Woman Into Her Brooklyn Apartment in Attempted Rape, Flees With $20: NYPD

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly pushed a woman into her Brooklyn apartment, tried to rape her and eventually fled with $20.

According to the NYPD, at around 6:39 a.m. Monday, a 53-year-old woman was entering her apartment in the area of Doscher Street and Liberty Avenue. When she opened the door, an unidentified male allegedly pushed her inside onto the couch.

Police say the suspect demanded money and the victim complied giving him $20. The suspect then allegedly took the money, attempted to remove the victim’s clothing, but was unsuccessful and demanded a sex act.

The woman refused and the suspect fled the location in unknown direction, police say, adding that the victim did not sustain any injuries and refused medical attention.

Police describe the suspect as a man, measuring approximately 6-feet tall, about 30 years old and with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a green “Flight” jacket, dark hooded shirt and black skull cap.
