Long Island Man Arrested in Huge Steroid Bust

Police arrested a 39-year-old Long Island man after they found eight kilos of anabolic steroid powder and several gallons of the liquid, along with painkillers and thousands of empty glass vials during a search of his home Wednesday.

Authorities say Antonio Daddi, of North Merrick, allegedly picked up one kilogram of synthetic anabolic steroids from a shipping location in the Merrick area Wednesday afternoon. That night, local and federal authorities executed a search warrant on Daddi's home and found the drugs and paraphernalia.

In addition to the steroids, they found 49 Oxycodone pills, 69 Percocet pills, 10,000 empty glass vials, 150,000 empty capsules and other painkillers.

Daddi was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He's expected to be arraigned Thursday. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney.
