A 61-year-old Queens man allegedly stabbed his girlfriend's brother during an argument between the siblings over who was being invited to Thanksgiving dinner, authorities say.
The brother, who is 54, was originally taken to the hospital in stable condition after the fight at the home on Anderson Road in St. Albans Tuesday evening, but his condition deteriorated and authorities said Wednesday he's not expected to live.
The situation remains under investigation, but police say a preliminary investigation reveals the 61-year-old boyfriend came home to his 66-year-old girlfriend and brother eating dinner around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The siblings started fighting about Thanksgiving, and the boyfriend allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the brother in the chest, police say.
The sister was also taken to a hospital, but it's not clear if that was for evaluation or physical injury. It wasn't clear if the suspect was taken into custody.
