Small Plane Crashes Into Trees While Trying to Land in New Jersey: FAA

There was no immediate word on the condition of the pilot

A small plane crashed into trees while trying to land at a southern New Jersey airport Thursday morning, federal officials say.

The FAA says the North American Navion plane hit the trees while descending to the Blairstown Airport in Warren County around 9:30 a.m.

There was no immediate word on the condition of the pilot, nor was it clear if anyone else was on board.

The FAA says it is investigating.
