Woman Missing in Adirondacks Returns Home After 2 Weeks

A 24-year-old upstate New York woman has returned to her family about two weeks after being reported missing from an Adirondack camp.

The Hamilton County sheriff's office says Rachael Mattice returned to her family's home in Johnstown early Wednesday morning and was being evaluated at a local hospital. She appeared to be in good condition.

Mattice had last been seen June 22 as she headed for the family's camp in Wells. Mattice had been living at the camp because she worked in the area as a home health care aide.

Her disappearance sparked a massive search involving helicopters and dogs.
