Surveillance Images Released of Suspect in Deadly Times Square Deli Stabbing

Authorities released surveillance images of a suspect in the deadly stabbing of a 36-year-old man in a Times Square deli, police said. Katherine Creag has more.

Authorities released surveillance images of a suspect in the deadly stabbing of a 36-year-old man in a Times Square deli, police said.

The man was found at West 40th Street and Seventh Avenue with two stab wounds to the chest at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.

Officials said the man was stabbed at a cafe on Seventh Avenue and ran around the corner before collapsing on West 40th Street.

Witnesses at the scene said the victim was eating in the back of the New Star Cafe when a fight broke out. At some point, the man made his way toward the front of the business, when he was stabbed.

Witnesses say he then staggered out of the cafe and collapsed.

The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
