Woman, 63, Attacked in Union Square Public Restroom: Police

Police have released new surveillance video of a man suspected of attacking a 63-year-old woman inside a public restroom in Union Square Park.

The suspect entered the bathroom around 1 p.m. Sunday and demanded sex from the woman, the NYPD. When she refused, police say a struggle ensued and the man fled after the woman bit him on the hand.

The restroom near East 17th Street was closed for the remainder of the afternoon.

The woman was treated for pain at a nearby a hospital and released.

Police also released a sketch and surveillance photos of the suspect, who they say is about 30-years-old and was last seen wearing a green army camoflage jacket, an orange hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a backpack.
