A man was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting near Batter Park that injured two people on Monday afternoon.
Jason Wright, a 37-year-old from Brooklyn, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. He was expected to face a judge Thursday night.
Police had been searching for two suspects after Monday's shooting in Lower Manhattan, which injured a 35-year-old woman, later described as a bystander, and a 40-year-old man, who police said was "involved in the argument." The 40-year-old man was taken to a hospital after police caught up with the car he was in on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Police have been looking into whether the shooting is related to a dispute over tour tickets. The area is a mecca for tourists looking to board a ferry to the Statue of Liberty or explore Lower Manhattan, and one witness described a scuffle between two men in the area shortly before someone opened fire.
It wasn't immediately known if Wright has an attorney.
