A New York City hotel has been named the best hotel in the U.S. by travel website TripAdvisor.
The Sherry-Netherland Hotel in Midtown took the honor of the top overall hotel in the U.S. The hotel was built in 1927 and overlooks Central Park.
The Casablanca Hotel in Times Square also made the list as the 10th best overall hotel in the U.S. and the 16th best top service hotel in the U.S.
The Towers at Lotte New York Palace in Midtown was named the 16th best luxury hotel in the U.S. and the Chelsea Pines Inn was named the 17th best top service hotel.
The Bardessono hotel outside of San Francisco was named second best overall hotel in the U.S. and the Nantucket Hotel & Resort in Nantucket was named third best.
The awards winners are based on millions of traveler reviews and opinions collected by TripAdvisor over the course of the year.
