Service was restored to part of the Ronkonkoma branch shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday after a stretch of the line was suspended because of a broken rail, LIRR said.
The broken rail just east of Farmingdale had halted service between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale earlier in the morning.
