Double-Homicide Suspect Arrested Sleeping in His Car: NJ Police

A suspect wanted in connection with two homicides was apprehended early Saturday while sleeping in his car in a secluded area near an apartment complex in New Jersey, authorities said.

Ramon Cadiz, 51 of Raritan Borough, was arrested at about 4 a.m.after police spotted his vehicle in the Colony Oaks Apartment Complex in North Brunswick, authorities said. Cadiz was asleep in the driver's seat.

Cadiz is a suspect in the deaths of two people whose bodies were found Friday on separate floors of a residence on First Avenue in Raritan, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano said.

Neighbors told NBC 4 News that a woman and her teenage daughter lived at the address. Police haven't disclosed the identities of the victims.

Cadiz was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and was being held in lieu of $2 million bail, Soriano said.

There was no indication that Cadiz had obtained a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
