Is the convenience of having a Quarter Pounder and fries delivered to your home or office worth a roughly $5 fee? McDonald's hopes so.
The fast-food chain said Wednesday it's expanding its partnership with UberEATS to offer delivery from more than 300 restaurants across the New York area.
So whether you're home, at work or somewhere in between, you can get burgers, fries, drinks and desserts delivered right to you through the UberEATs app or via UberEATS.com. You can use the same account you do to order rides.
New York joins Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and other major cities in rolling out the new partnership. In all, McDonald's says "McDelivery" is now available from more than 1,000 U.S. locations.
Uber says its delivery fee varies depending on the city, but it's generally a flat $4.99. There could also be a "busy area" fee of $1 to $2 where demand is high.
McDonald's is hoping delivery can help turn around its U.S. business, which has seen customer visits decline.
