No injuries were reported after a manhole somehow blew slightly off its track on a bustling midtown street Thursday.
Photos from the scene on 47th Street near Fifth Avenue showed the manhole cover on the ground inside a triangular web of yellow caution tape. Police cordoned the area off; some minor debris also appeared on the ground.
The cause is under investigation.
