A man was filmed spewing racial slurs and spitting on the of an MTA bus in Brooklyn — all because the bus was running late, witnesses said.

The MTA is asking the NYPD to investigate the incident which occurred on Tuesday night in Midwood. Other riders aboard the bus say the man was upset over the bus being delayed, and refused to pay the fare.

After hurling swears and racial slurs, he was asked to leave by the female driver. As he was stepping out of the bus’s front door, he turned around and spit right at the driver, continuing his angry rant.

New York City Transit Chief Andy Byford said he watched the video of the man’s outburst, calling it “disgusting“ and that he was “sickened by it.”

“It was virulent, racist, horrible language. The fact that the person then spat at my operator is completely unacceptable,” Byford said.

The passenger did not physically assault anyone, according to the MTA and witnesses, but he is still wanted for harassment.
