A worker was killed in Brooklyn Tuesday when a forklift he tried to push up a ramp rolled backward and pinned him, police say.
The 22-year-old man, identified as Gustavo Tapia, was operating an electric pallet-stacker, trying to push a forklift manned by another employee up a ramp to a parking area on the roof of a supermarket on Avenue M, when the forklift in front of him began rolling backward, according to police.
Tapia was pinned against the wall.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
