Police on Long Island say a 52-year-old man has died after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle through an intersection.
The Nassau County Police Department says Kenneth Pierce, of Hempstead, was riding his bike on the westbound side of Windsor Parkway in his hometown around 9 p.m. Monday when he tried to cross Baldwin Road.
Police say he was hit by a northbound BMW driven by a 27-year-old man.
Officers say Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say their investigation is continuing.
