Dozens of Long Island Motorcyclists Arrested After Leading Cops on Chase

Seven Long Island motorcyclists face a series of charges after allegedly terrorizing other drivers. Greg Cergol reports.

Dozens of motorcyclists were arrested after leading police on a chase in Long Island Sunday afternoon, according to officials, after several 911 callers reported that a crowd of 20 to 50 were driving recklessly.

Police said they responded to reports of bikers causing a disturbance on Sunrise Avenue at Deer Park Avenue and the motorcyclists spread out and fled between Bay Shore and West Babylon.

Authorities said they arrested more than 30 people -- most of them for trespassing after congregating behind a municipal building in Bay Shore. Seven faced serious charges that included reckless driving, resisting arrest and driving under the influence.
