Police have discovered what appears to be a human leg with duct tape attached to it in the East River in Queens, a law enforcement official says.
Harbor units were responding to a report of a human body in the waters off Fort Totten in the Bay Terrace section of Queens at about 4:30 p.m. when they found the apparent body part near Duane and Underhill roads, the official said.
The item was turned over to the medical examiner, who is investigating.
