More than 3.47 million tri-state residents have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
New York's first positive case was announced on Sunday, March 1, 2020; the state's first death was announced nearly two weeks later, on March 14, 2020. New York City accounts for the vast majority of cases and deaths in the state.
The number of cases in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut has climbed into the millions, while deaths are in the tens of thousands.
Here are the latest number of cases, last updated at 8:02 p.m. on July 6, according to the governors of the respective states:
