Three firefighters were hurt battling a blaze at a pair of brownstones in Manhattan Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out just before 3 a.m. on the balcony of one of the buildings on East 37th Street near Lexington Avenue, in Murray Hill, a fire department official says. Flames spread between two buildings, but crews brought the blaze under control within 45 minutes.
More than 100 firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze, the department says. One of the firefighters suffered minor injuries. Two others were also hurt, but the severity of their injuries is unknown.
No one else was hurt.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
