Two eastbound lanes on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge will be closed for emergency construction, Fort Lee officials said Tuesday afternoon.
The Port Authority said it was repairing loose bolts and that the lanes would be closed for about an hour, ending around 4 p.m.
Traffic cameras showed a backup already developing on the bridge as of 3 p.m.
