Giants quarterback Eli Manning has a new cheerleader for Big Blue.
The NFL star and his wife, Abby, had a baby girl Monday. A beautiful, healthy Ava Frances weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces, tweeted ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen.
Manning and his 26-year-old blonde bombshell sweetheart met while attending the University of Mississippi. They will celebrate their three-year anniversary next month.
The couple lives in Hoboken during the NFL season and also has a home in Oxford, Miss.
Eli, the brother of one of the all-time NFL greats, Indianapolis Colts' quarterback Peyton Manning, led his New York Giants to a Super Bowl victory in 2008.
Eli Manning was named MVP in that game, having completed 19-of-34 passes for two touchdowns and 255 yards. His scramble to escape a sack and haphazard completed pass to former Giants wide receiver David Tyree, who caught the ball on his head, was widely credited with engineering the game-winning drive that ended with a touchdown to another former wide receiver, Plaxico Burress.
Burress is currently in jail for shooting himself in the thigh in a New York City nightclub. He's expected to be released in June. The Giants have not said for sure whether they would consider signing him.
