A 52-year-old Albany man has been arrested in connection with last month's groping of a 9-year-old girl in East Village, authorities said.
Police say Rene Otero was charged early Monday with sex abuse and endangering the welfare of child. He's accused of walking up behind the 9-year-old girl on a Sunday afternoon in April and touching her buttocks.
Police had released a surveillance photo and sketch of the suspect.
Information on an attorney wasn't immediately available.
Meanwhile, police continue to look for the suspect linked to two sexual assaults involving young girls in South Ozone Park, Queens. Police say the suspect forced a 7-year-old girl into an alley and made her perform a sexual act. Hours earlier, detectives say he abused a different 7-year-old girl in the neighborhood.
