Concorde removed from Intrepid Museum for restoration

Known as the fastest commercial aircraft in the world, the British Airways Concorde has been a staple of the Intrepid Museum since it arrived in 2003. It will now be taken away for a three-month restoration, during which time a section of Pier 86 will also be renovated to create another 4,000 square feet of public parkland.
