Two Girls Struck by Taxi in Hit-and-Run at Central Park Entrance

The child was being treated on the scene by an ambulance

Two girls were struck by a taxi in an apparent hit-and-run just outside Central Park Thursday morning, officials and witnesses said.

The girls, ages 7 and 8, were taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital after the accident, which took place near Central Park South and Center Drive around 11 a.m.

The injuries appeared to be minor.

Witnesses wrote down the cab's license-plate number, and cops were looking for the driver.
