NYC ‘Homecoming' Week Concerts: How to Get Tickets, Who's Playing

"We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert" is scheduled for Aug. 21 at 5 p.m.

NBC Universal, Inc.

It’s going to be a mega-concert in Central Park with thousands upon thousands of people to mark New York City’s dramatic, ongoing comeback from COVID-19. And now we’re learning more about the stars who will headline the comeback show.

"We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert" will take place Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. with a blockbuster musical lineup -- part of a week-long lineup of concerts citywide that will also feature some of the biggest hip-hop acts in history.

The free Central Park concert is meant as a sort of "New York City is back" message to the world, and the mayor said some of the city's favorite icons will perform.

Leading up to it, there will be marquee shows in four the boroughs as well.
