A car slammed into a post office in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon, injuring the driver, officials said.
The 76-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, police said. He was taken to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries, the FDNY said.
Police said he was making a U-turn when another driver struck his car. The other driver fled.
Video showed a dark blue car crashed into a post office on Church Avenue in East Flatbush. The post office was closed and metal gates were pulled down over the windows.
The building was structurally sound, according to inspectors from the Department of Buildings. But a front glass door was broken, so a partial vacate order was issued for the front of the post office.
The owners were working to board up the front entrance.
