An out-of-control car crashed into a building under renovation on Long Island Thursday, coming to rest 20 feet inside the structure and injuring four workers inside, authorities say.
One of the victims was airlifted to a hospital after the 1 p.m. accident near Ocean Avenue and West Main Street in Patchogue; the extent of the others' injuries wasn't immediately clear.
A Good Samaritan helped pull the driver out of the vehicle.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
